Nov 9, 2025 — Hallstatt

On the way to Salzburg, I stopped in Hallstatt. I arrived late, so I only made a few quiet autumn frames from across the lake.

Nov 10, 2025 — Gollinger Wasserfall, Wallfahrtskirche St. Nikolaus

A day of classic Austrian scenery: mountains, the Gollinger Waterfall, then the peaceful pilgrimage church of St. Nikolaus.

Nov 11, 2025 — Taulgries

A day for rugged textures and wild scenery—slow walking, careful framing, and lots of atmosphere.

Nov 12, 2025 — Wolfgangsee, Mondsee

Not my most creative day, but still a beautiful one—easy light, great air, and a relaxed pace.

Nov 13, 2025 — Neuschwanstein Castle (Germany)

A huge highlight. I photographed the castle from Marienbrücke (Mary’s Bridge) at sunset. Inside, photos are strictly forbidden, but the interior visit is absolutely worth it—book tickets in advance.

Nov 14, 2025 — Salzburg (Kapuzinerberg, Basteiweg)

No tripod, but it worked out: the A7RV’s stabilization is excellent, and I could rest the camera on stone for longer exposures. This was up on Kapuzinerberg, walking the Basteiweg, a path that runs along the old fortification walls with beautiful views over the city.

Nov 15, 2025 — Krimmler Waterfall

Massive, powerful, and genuinely impressive—so photogenic it took up my whole day.

Nov 16, 2025 — Balcke Fishing Lake, then Hallstatt again

Driving home, I spotted Balcke Fishing Lake and had to stop: backlit pines and stunning reflections. Later I returned to Hallstatt once more—this time with nice light and blue hour.

Austria is a truly wonderful place for photographers—full of dramatic landscapes, storybook towns, and light that can turn even a simple stop into a memorable frame.

Thanks for following me on my journey! :)
