Introduction

My name is Tibor Fenyősi, and I live in Székesfehérvár, Hungary. I work as an IT specialist, but photography has become one of my main hobbies since 2020. I started with landscape photography and later explored several other fields, from wildlife and macro to concerts and portrait photography. I enjoy discovering new places, experimenting with different techniques, and constantly learning something new.

Photography Experience

I got into photography in December 2020, starting with landscape photos taken with a Canon M50. The whole idea came from wanting to decorate the empty walls of my new apartment with my own pictures. What began as a simple idea quickly turned into a regular hobby, and there was a time when I went out shooting three to five times a week.

In 2021, I completed an online basic photography course, and by spring, I had become increasingly interested in photographing birds and other wildlife. That's when I switched to a Sony A7R III, which I supplemented with an A7R V in 2024.

Photography has taken me to quite a few interesting places. I've photographed in Ireland, Malta, Denmark, Madeira and Albania, among others. I later visited Transylvania and Bulgaria, where I had the opportunity to photograph not only landscapes but also bears in their natural habitat.

I also regularly photograph bull rodeos, which require a very different approach and technique compared to landscape photography. I also tried boudoir photography during a workshop, where I learned a lot about lighting, composition and retouching.

In 2021, one of my photographs was featured in the Magyarország 365 book, and another was exhibited in 2024. I also had a photograph exhibited at the 43rd MAFOSZ Salon in Békéscsaba, which was another achievement I was particularly happy about.

Lately, I've become particularly interested in macro photography, especially photographing insects. I find it fascinating how many tiny details can be revealed that we wouldn't even notice with the naked eye. It's also a technically challenging field, which makes it even more interesting to me.

I also pay a lot of attention to post-processing. I mainly use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, along with Zerene Stacker for focus stacking. I regularly use techniques such as exposure blending and focus stacking when needed. I also print some of my own photographs.

Inspiration

My friend Zsolt Varanka has played, and continues to play, an important role in my development as a photographer. I've learned a lot from his advice, support and our photography trips together.

I'm also a proud member of the Biatorbágyi Fotóklub (Biatorbágy Photography Club), where I have the opportunity to exchange experiences with fellow photographers, learn from each other and take part in group activities.

I also follow the work of several other photographers, including Mads Peter Iversen, Michael Shainblum, Adam Gibbs, Thomas Heaton, Nigel Danson and Morten Hilmer, whose photographs often give me new ideas and inspiration.
